Super Model Citizens was formed in Los Angeles, CA when four great musicians came together on a mission to create great music. Eric Richard (lead guitar) and Paul DePatie (drums) met thru a mutual friend and decided to start a band. They soon began their search for a lead singer and bassist. At a weekly Saturday football game, John Scheker (lead vocals & rhythm guitar) overheard Eric talking about his search for a new singer. John had recently left a band and was searching for his next musical endeavor. John auditioned for Eric and Paul and they began writing songs as they kept looking for a bassist. Bill Luna (bass) rounded out the band when he answered an ad on MySpace that SMC had placed. SMC has worked tirelessly on their music which brings influences from rock/alternative bands such as U2, Pearl Jam, Radiohead, among other legendary bands to create their own unique songs and style. SMC is currently playing gigs in the Los Angeles area as they prepare to record their debut album.

John got into music when he was 5 years old watching his brother play the piano. He took piano lessons but was never as good as his brother so he decided to try the guitar. He then started writing songs and singing in college for fun.

Paul DePatie - Drums

Birthplace: Palm Springs, CA
Paul got into music very early in life. He started listening to his parent's music collection as a young child and started playing drums when he was 14 years old.

Eric Richard - Lead Guitar

Birthplace: Canoga Park, CA
Eric got into music when he was about 11 after he heard "Everybody Wants You" by Billy Squier one day on American Top 40. Eric went shopping with his aunt a few weeks later where she bought him his first cassette, Billy Squier's "Emotions in Motion" which he promptly wore out. Eric soon convinced his mother to let him take guitar lessons and he was hooked right away.

Bill Luna - Bass
Birthday: February 14th
Birthplace: Azusa, CA
Bill got into music when he started playing music in the sixth grade. He began on trumpet, then went to drums, then guitar and ended up on bass. He didn't want to be a bass player but everyone said he was great at it so it stuck.
Bill's first concert: Metallica at the Thomas & Mack center in Las Vegas with his big sister who took him for X-Mas in '91
